SARCO Architects Costa Rica Receives new Design Award

We are extremely proud to announce that SARCO Architects Costa Rica and our recently completed project – Casa Magayon, has been presented with an award in the Architecture Single Residence category at the International Property Awards 2016, at the Savoy Hotel, in London on Monday 12th December.  Casa Magayon is the winner of the  “5-Star, Best Architecture Single Residence Costa Rica 2016-2017” award, the highest level award issued per country by the International Property Awards.

SARCO Architects Costa Rica competed against the best property professionals across The World to be awarded this title for the Casa Magayon project.

SARCO Architects Costa Rica had previously been presented with the “5-Star, Best Architecture Single Residence Costa Rica” award in the 2012-2013 edition of the International Property Awards, and also received a “Highly Commended, Architecture Single Residence Costa Rica” award in the 2013-2014 edition.

Also, our collaboration project with Barnes Coy Architects, the Cielo Mar Residence, where we collaborated on design, development and managed construction, was also presented with the “Highly Commended, Architecture Single Residence Costa Rica” award, which makes a total of four of our projects recipients of design awards at this exclusive and highly competitive international design awards.

The International Property Awards are judged by an independent panel of 70 judges, industry experts all of them.  They consider design, quality, service, innovation, originality and commitment to sustainability when making a decision and deciding on a project for awards.  The judging panel is chaired by Lord Caithness, Lord Best, and Lord Liverpool, all members of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament.

The International Property Awards are the region’s largest, most prestigious and most recognized property awards.  This is the 24th year of running of the awards.  This year The Telegraph newspaper is the headline sponsor of the Property Awards, with Emirates being the official Airline Sponsor.
