Our latest project, Casa Magayon is one of the featured projects in this latest issue of the magazine. This tropical modern luxury residence is located in the Peninsula Papagayo luxury resort. Peninsula Papagayo is located in the tropical dry forest region of northern Guanacaste in Costa Rica. Casa Magayon is one of our award-winning designs. This tropical modern home was awarded the distinguished “Highly-Commended, Architecture Single Residence Costa Rica 2013-2014” award by the International Property Awards , in London.
Our projects “Bartlett Residence” and “Cielo Mar Residence” were also award winning projects. Together with Casa Magayon, three projects by Sarco Architects Costa Rica are awarded by the International Property Awards.
Casa Magayon was designed as a very open, airy design. This maximises the integration of the natural surroundings with every room in the home. A series of independent modules are connected by outdoor corridors. The home operates in a modular approach, depending on usage needs. This creates reduction in cooling loads and energy consumption. The home will only draw energy by the spaces in real use. Together with other sustainable design strategies, Casa Magayon is a very energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly design.
